A LIST OF THINGS!? AND MORE!?!?

This is a picture from almost a year ago (sorry for the closed eyes Maggie but I look good in this picture). We went into the city for my 20th birthday. We ate $1 pizza on the street and Magnolia cupcakes and went the the Gotham Comedy Club to see Christian Finnegan! I met him after the show and it was really cool.

It's 2013 now (as most of you know). 2012 was a great year for me. I took a lot of cool classes at UCB NY and I met a lot of really funny and nice people through it (and through Tumblr). I also promised myself last year that I wouldn't be embarrassed in public anymore and for some reason that actually worked out. Another thing that happened to me in 2012 was meeting this really awesome guy that I'm still totally crazy about. That doesn't usually happen to me which is why it's noteworthy.

For 2013 I made a list of things I want to do for the year. They aren't resolutions or anything, just a list of things I want to accomplish and I'm going to share that list with you now (in bullet form!). Here you go (some of these are weird and one of them embarrasses me a little because it sounds sad but I don't really care)!:

  • Shower more often (this one is the embarrassing one but sometimes I got like 3 or 4 days without showering because I'm tired and don't care)
  • Clean my room like crazy
  • Donate my old clothes and shoes to Good Will
  • Sort through old papers and recycle them
  • Recycle old water bottles hidden behind the red chair (I hide my water bottles behind my chair because I don't want my mom to get mad at me and say "RECYCLE THOSE!")
  • Clean out my desk
  • Get a table for my record player (my boyfriend bought me a record player for Christmas and I have no place to put it)
  • Use my Pop Physique DVDs (Pop Physique is amazing but I never find the time to do the workouts and I really want to)
  • Go on juice cleanses
  • Eat more apples
  • Try working 9-5 days
  • Update my blog frequently (you're welcome)
  • Start writing stand up material (I have ideas but that's about it)
  • Write more sketches
  • Take Second City's online writing course
  • Take more pictures with my regular camera (not iPhone pictures!)
  • Travel (go to at least 5 places I've never been to)
  • Get more records
  • Go on fancy dates with my boyfriend
  • Read all of my comedy books from start to finish
  • Go to the movies (for some reason I never go to the movies but everyone else does so I'm going to see what the fuss is all about)
  • Dance in public A LOT
  • Use my white board
  • Practice the flute again
  • Finish Twin Peaks and watch Fire Walk With Me (and don't be scared!)
  • Spend a lot of money at least once on something I really love
  • Save money (this is funny because of what it follows)
  • Make short films (or film my sketches)
  • Use my Life Planner more often
  • Don't talk to people that aren't worth my time (I have a bad habit of talking to people I don't really like but I don't really have a reason for it and I need to STOP it)
  • Write letters and never send them (just to get my feelings out)
  • Paint
I know it's kind of a long list of things to do but I have a whole year and I really think I'm actually going to stick to them. I didn't put this on the list but I'm also going to try to get on a sleep schedule since I hardly ever sleep at normal times anymore and it's starting to become a burden. All of these things are doable and I really think I can accomplish most if not all of them. And on a side note it's my birthday on Saturday and I'm NOT going to the city which will be weird since I did that 2 years in a row. It'll still be fun though. I'm looking forward to it and the rest of this year!
